Forthcoming Public Lecture: American Philanthropy: History and Myths by Prof Kathleen McCarthy

Anyone studying or working on philanthropy would recognise the name Prof Kathleen McCarthy, a historian with numerous publications, director at the Center of Philanthropy and Civil Society CUNY, and leader at the International Fellowship program, working to progressing the practice of philanthropy worldwide.

Prof McCarthy will visit Indonesia to meet a number of colleagues alumnae of the International Fellowship Program on Community Foundation, CUNY, among other, Amelia Fauzia, professor of Islamic History at UIN Jakarta.

Prof Kathy’s visit to Indonesia is a rare opportunity and therefore the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of UIN Jakarta will be organizing a public lecture to let Indonesian practitioners and students/scholars working on philanthropy to learn from her expertise.
